Yoga Health Benefits Discovered On Kleyne Talk Radio With International Instructors
GRANTS PASS, Ore., Feb. 5, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sharon Kleyne, host of the internationally syndicated radio program The Sharon Kleyne Hour Water Life Science®/Nature's Pharma®, The Power of Water® & Your Health sponsored by Nature's Tears® EyeMist® on VoiceAmerica and produced by Rose Hong, founder and director of Global Dragon TV in Washington, D.C., believes in the power of yoga to raise awareness of proper breathing techniques and uses of pure water to replenish body water lost to evaporation. Kleyne and recent guests discussed the history of yoga and its health benefits. Kleyne shares that yoga is a spiritual practice that teaches self-awareness and discernment. "Know thyself," says Kleyne. "That is what yoga teaches." Yoga began in the Indus-Sarasvati civilization in Northern India some 5,000 years ago.
Kelly Ross, a Fairfax, Virginia middle school English teacher has studied yoga for three decades and teaches three ashtanga yoga classes a week to, on average, 100-plus practitioners. Ross explains the Americans tend to seek more physical yoga workouts, which she teaches. Yet she also finds that once students are hooked, they become very interested in the breath and spiritual benefits of yoga as well. In fact, one branch, kundalini yoga, is mostly focused on still postures and breathing, what Kleyne calls "breath-stretching". Ross shares that her yoga practice aids her work as an English teacher. "I teach mindfulness practices and guided meditation once a week to my students, and they complain if for any reason we can't do that."
International Ayurveda teacher Dr. P. Sambhu B.A.M.S explains that practitioners visit Ayurveda clinics (the most progressive are located in India) to discover ancient healing practices that include yoga for breath practice and spiritual advancement. Ayurveda, says Sambhu, comes from ancient Sanskrit words—ayu meaning life and veda meaning knowledge. Sambhu describes how practitioners learn beneficial breath technology through the daily practice of yoga. Sambhu also stresses that drinking enough pure water for your body type every day is a core teaching of the Ayurvedic healing process.
Annette Draper, is another teacher devoted to yoga practice. The successful co-founder of Club Northwest, a Top 100 American health club, describes how she had begun to feel fractures in her Mind Body Spirit health practice. At Sambhu's Centre in India she received and felt the power of the concept of Flow. Feeling the flow in life itself, Draper was able to tap into her powerful energy potential. "Because of the food, yoga, chanting, body treatments, oil opening the third eye and my energy centers," Draper said. "I was able to make a true connection of mind, body and spirit. I realized once again that you don't expect a great life, you create one."
"All of us must learn breath-stretching and living with the natural rhythm of the universe," Kleyne concludes. "Water is the magic nutrition of all life. Food will be the next medicine, but water is the original medicine. Water is the secret to life!"
